Please pray for my grandparents, Nana & Poppop. Both are unwell and currently in the hospital. Poppop is in a fragile state and struggling with multiple issues including fluid build-up around his heart and acute kidney failure. He has had many heart problems up to now, and at best, he is a weak man. We are fervently praying that the Lord will sustain his body, give him strength, help the doctors properly diagnose and treat the problems, and prolong his days. Nana is slowly recovering from a bout of
bacterial meningitis. She suddenly came down with it last week after diligently caring for my Poppop in & out of the hospital the week prior. It was very serious and scary for us as she was in tremendous pain for awhile and totally delusional. Thankfully, her body is responding positively to the antibiotics and the doctors expect a full recovery, but as I mentioned, it is a slow process. This has been quite the roller coaster for my family especially my Dad and Uncles who have so selflessly stepped up to serve their parents in this time. My grandparents play a very meaningful role in our family. They really have invested in us, served us, taught us, and loved us so well over the years. Not to mention, they have set a solid example of godliness in marriage and life. Please pray for healing, for faith, and for patience. We are relying on Him, and we know that God is good even when life doesn't feel good, He is strong when we are weak, and He is faithful to his children.
Scripture that has comforted me over the last couple weeks...The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. -Psalm 116:5
The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save... -Zephaniah 3:17
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you... -Psalm 55:22
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. -Psalm 73:26
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." -Isaiah 55:8-9
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up... -James 5:15
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. -2 Corinthians 2:9

I am SO sorry your Grandparents are sick Helene! I know how hard it is to watch them suffer in any way. I will definitely be praying for your family. xoxo
