We travelled to Blacksburg this weekend for the annual Spring Game where Hokie fans get to preview the team's talent as we prepare for the upcoming football season. It was hot! The sun blazed down on our pale, helpless bodies. I managed to avoid the burn, but Steve was not so lucky. He ended the weekend with a striking line separating his "red neck" from his white back, which hasn't seen the light of day in months. Besides that, we really had a wonderful, refreshing weekend. Steve put together a pre-game tailgate for Saturday, which allowed us to see and catch up with a number of people who we rarely get to spend time with. Riley got to see and play with one of his best buddies too. It was great to connect and laugh with close friends, and of course, get pumped up for Hokie football!
Thanks friends for your love, hospitality, time and encouragement. We are blessed.
Oh, and thanks to Dan, Jordan & Isaiah for entertaining us with their antics in telephone pictionary... Steve nearly pulled a muscle he was laughing so hard! Seriously,with those 3 guys together, you have the perfect ingredients for utter and undeniable hilariousness.
