Retreat and...

This weekend the Norri traveled with 17 high schoolers to Camp Willow Run in North Carolina. It was a weekend of fighting over the last cookie at mealtime, sleeping bag worm wars and a message of Hope. The speaker was Corey Widmer from Third Presbyterian Church in Richmond and he spoke about where we place our hope and where we SHOULD place our hope. His words were convicting to all as we are all guilty of putting our hope in work, grades, money, friends, etc. He explained that our only true hope is in the death, resurrection and eternal life of Christ. Despite some rain, it was a great time to get to know the students better and to see everyone grow in their knowledge and relationship with the Lord. Fortunately enough it was not too draining for me as I started my new job on Monday after camp.

NEW JOB!

Yes a new job for Steve and this time out of a direct sales position. I will be doing sales and operations support for Health Diagnostic Laboratories. We do blood testing for early warning signs of Cardiovascular Disease. You can check out our website here. The company is new and growing quickly and changing the way doctors think about advanced testing. More than anything we are thankful for the Lord's provision of a new job that is closer to home, steadier pay and more engaging work.
