Going west

For our summer vacation this year we are going west! We will spend a few days marveling at and exploring the Grand Canyon and then spend the rest of our time in California visiting Steve's grandparents and beachin' it. There are a number of firsts to happen on this trip including first time to Vegas where we'll fly into, first time to the Hoover Dam which we'll see on our drive to the canyon, and first time to the Grand Canyon!! In order to make the most of our trip, we plan to hike the canyon and camp at the bottom for at least one night. We considered for a very brief moment taking a mule ride, but Steve refuses to put his life into the hooves of the "sure-footed" beast, ha! We'd rather hike anyway. From now until early June when we depart, we can only hope for smooth and safe travels, good weather, and no hitch in the plan.
