Back to one

After much (emphasis on much) deliberation, Steve & I have decided once and for all to say goodbye to Denver. His energy level, anxiety, and play style have proved over time to not be the best fit for our home. Rest assured, he has returned to the SOS Pen Pals program where he will receive further training and then be put up for adoption again. This was an extremely difficult decision as we have come to love Denver even though he can be quite pushy and frustrating. We feel this is right and healthy for us all. He is dog that will make someone else very happy, and we are trusting that Denver will soon find an owner that is fully able to meet his needs. For us, we are back to one dog. We certainly do not regret having Denver in our home as we have learned a lot and have enjoyed some really sweet times with him too (running, hiking, swimming, rollerblading... yes, rollerblading!). We're experiencing mixed emotions right now from sadness to guilt to relief, but ultimately, we feel peace. So long Denver, we'll miss you tough guy!
